BYU running back LJ Martin is expected to be sidelined for at least a month by the injury he sustained early in the Cougars' game against TCU on Oct. 3, according to ESPN's Pete Thamel. If that timeline holds, Martin would also miss BYU's game against UCF on Oct. 24, according to Sports Illustrated.
Bear Bachmeier threw for 224 yards and 1 touchdown, ran 13 times for 45 yards and 2 touchdowns, and caught 1 pass for 15 yards and 1 touchdown in BYU's 28-24 win over Notre Dame on Oct. 17, worth 36 CollegeFFB points. He was the first BYU quarterback since Steve Young with a passing, rushing and receiving touchdown in one game, according to the Deseret News.
