News
Michael Hawkins threw for 464 yards and 3 touchdowns and ran 26 times for 77 yards and 2 more scores in West Virginia's 45-42 win over Cincinnati on Oct. 17, good for 50.3 CollegeFFB points. West Virginia coach Rich Rodriguez said, "He made some great throws and hung in there," adding that he has no hesitation that Hawkins can make the throw on any pass play. At $9.4M, Hawkins has been an elite producer, averaging 36.2 points a game this season, and should remain a fantasy focal point when West Virginia visits TCU, despite the Horned Frogs allowing the 16th-fewest yards per pass attempt this season in FBS.
Braden Pegan caught 8 passes for 86 yards and 2 touchdowns in Utah's 27-24 win at Colorado on Oct. 17, good for 28.6 CollegeFFB points. At $7M, Pegan has averaged 19.6 CollegeFFB points a game this season and should stay in the mix for fantasy when Utah hosts Houston on Oct. 24.
DJ Epps caught 8 passes for 163 yards and 1 touchdown, adding 1 carry for 3 yards, in West Virginia's 45-42 win over Cincinnati on Oct. 17, good for 30.6 CollegeFFB points in that game. Averaging 15.6 points a game this season, Epps could continue to produce at $6.1M when West Virginia visits TCU on Oct. 24.
Ricky Johnson had a breakout game for Utah: 5 catches for 104 yards and 1 touchdown, worth 21.4 CollegeFFB points, in Utah's 41-24 win over Kansas on Oct. 10. That followed an average of 2.3 catches a game in his previous 3 games. At $4.8M, he is averaging 8.1 CollegeFFB points a game this season and should stay in the mix when Utah visits Colorado on Oct. 17.
Devon Dampier threw for 238 yards and 3 touchdowns and ran 17 times for 71 yards and another score in Utah's 41-24 win over Kansas on Oct. 10, good for 30.6 CollegeFFB points in that game. Utah plays at Colorado on Oct. 17, and Dampier, averaging 24.8 points a game this season, looks like a reliable piece at $13.5M.
Wayshawn Parker ran 16 times for 171 yards and 2 touchdowns and added 2 catches for 36 yards in Utah's 41-24 win over Kansas on Oct. 10, good for 34.7 CollegeFFB points. After a fourth-down stop at the Utes' own 1, he raced untouched for a touchdown to cap the scoring, according to The Associated Press. Of his game-clinching run, Parker said he had to "humble them, not with my mouth, but with my game." He could have a path to more touches at Colorado, which allows the 45th-fewest yards per carry in FBS this season, on Oct. 17. At $9.7M, he has averaged 30.4 points a game this season.
