Trelain Maddox carried the load in Georgia Tech's rushing game in a career-best outing, according to the school's official athletics site: 12 carries for 96 yards and 1 rushing touchdown, plus 3 catches for 16 yards, in Georgia Tech's 34-24 loss at Virginia Tech on Oct. 17. He scored 18.2 CollegeFFB points against the Hokies, up from 7 carries a game in his previous 3 games. At $5.8M, he looks in line for a bigger if injuries continue to keep Justice Haynes and Malachi Hosley off the field.
DeSean Bishop ran 32 times for 159 yards and 2 touchdowns and caught 3 passes for 16 yards in Tennessee's 26-10 win over Alabama on Oct. 17, scoring 32.5 CollegeFFB points in that game. Coach Josh Heupel said he told Bishop at halftime he was going to have a big second half, and he called him "a special back." Bishop could have a path to more touches at $13.1M given the heavy workload he handled against Alabama, and he has averaged 22.2 points a game this season heading into Tennessee's Oct. 24 game at South Carolina.
Jordan Allen "has established himself as the guy" for Georgia Tech, according to Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets On SI. He had 10 catches for 120 yards and 22 CollegeFFB points in Georgia Tech's 34-24 loss at Virginia Tech on Oct. 17. Georgia Tech hosts Boston College on Oct. 24, and at $5.3M, Allen could stay busy and keep producing; he is averaging 14.2 CollegeFFB points a game this season, with 5.3 catches per game across his previous 3 games.
