Evan Medders has replaced the injured Liam Szarka at quarterback for Air Force, according to The Gazette, and he ran 18 times for 152 yards and 3 touchdowns, with 18 passing yards, in Air Force's 41-31 win over UNLV on Oct. 17. That followed his first career start, against Northern Illinois on Oct. 10, which earned him National Football Foundation Player of the Week honors in Week 6. At $5.5M, he looks in line for more of the same at Wyoming on Oct. 23: he has been a steady producer, averaging 13.4 points a game this season, while attempting 1.7 passes a game in his previous 3 games.
Owen Allen ran 19 times for 96 yards and 1 touchdown in Air Force's 41-31 win over UNLV on Oct. 17, scoring 15.6 CollegeFFB points in that game. Allen could have a path to more touches, as his workload against UNLV topped the 11 carries a game he averaged over his previous 3 games, and he is producing 8.6 points a game this season. Air Force visits Wyoming on Oct. 23, with Allen priced at $7.5M.
