CollegeFFB Is Now an App!

CollegeFFB is live on the App Store and on Google Play. Free, same as it's always been.

If you already play on the web, nothing changes. Download it, sign in with the account you already have, and your squad is sitting there exactly how you left it. No re-drafting, no migration, no new password.

Why bother with an app

Three reasons.

Push notifications. Lineup lock is the single most expensive thing to forget in a salary cap game, and a browser tab has never once reminded anyone about anything. Now your phone will. You'll also get pinged when the week's scores are final, so you can find out where you landed without refreshing the leaderboard all Saturday night.

It's built for the phone. That's where almost everybody was already playing, so the whole thing is laid out for a thumb rather than shrunk down from a desktop page. Full screen, no address bar eating the top of your squad, no accidental pull-to-refresh in the middle of a transfer. Setting a lineup on the couch at 11am on a Saturday should take fifteen seconds, and now it does.

And it lives on your home screen instead of in a bookmark folder you visit twice a year.

If you haven't played yet

Quick version of how to play college fantasy football. You get a $100M salary cap and you build a squad from any player in FBS. All 137 schools, roughly 3,850 players, from the Big Ten down through the Sun Belt. No draft, no waiting for your turn, no leaguemate who disappears in October. Everyone can own the same guy, so the edge comes from being early on someone rather than from winning a snake draft slot.

Each week you make transfers, pick a captain for the multiplier, and get placed into global, conference, and school leaderboards automatically. Player prices move with demand, so the third-string running back who went for $4.5M in Week 2 is not staying there if he goes for 180 yards.

Timing

Week 1 is close. Get your squad in before kickoff, because the first slate is where most of the season's free points get left on the table.

A thousand-plus people are already playing, and more show up every week that gets closer to kickoff. Download it, set your lineup, and go pick a fight with a rival school.
